Building Robots

For decades, children have used LEGO® bricks to construct houses, cars, spaceships and more. Building Robots takes this activity to the next generation by adding technology, motion and sound! By adding simple machines like pulleys and levers, and connecting the finished robot to our computers, the children's projects come to life. Their faces are amazed with excitement each time they see the movement!

Classes and parties provide an introduction to simple robotics using the LEGO® Education WeDo™ Robotics Construction Set. Designed for children 6-10 years-old, children learn to build robots, complete with sensors and motors, and use a computer to program the robot's behavior. We teach computer programming, science, construction and teamwork in a fun environment. Children learn engineering concepts, such as how pulleys, belts, gears, and levers operate, while working together to solve problems. Through the use of icon-based programming software, children quickly and easily learn how to write and upload programs to their LEGO® creations.

Building Robots is owned and operated by two elementary teachers who are dedicated to making learning a hands-on and exciting experience.
